Jojie Natividad, LMP, Massage Therapy, Colon Hydrotherapy
I have always lived by the motto to “Trust my gut.” This way of living drew me to Seattle from Cleveland, Ohio (via Slippery Rock University of PA) and literally the moment my feet touched the ground here… I knew I was Home.
This same “gut instinct” led me to write on a big drawing pad “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid…” and afterwards I visualized my life and what I really wanted and that led me to going to Seattle Massage School back in 1998. While in school, I realized that working in an office wasn’t feeding my Soul so I ended up affirming that I was going to find a wonderful, healing place to work that was in tune with what I was studying and what I was becoming, or really, who I was in my core. I was divinely led to a receptionist position at a naturopathic clinic. It was SO far from anything that I ever grew up with and they did this really trippy thing called “high colonics.” It took five months before I even had the courage to get a colonic and it was, I admit, scary and intimidating, but I felt so Good afterwards that I tried it again, but this time with a different practitioner who took the time to explain to me what was going on during the session and in my body because it truly felt like I had been abducted by aliens! I was so detached from my body and the way it functioned. This was the beginning of my own Healing Journey…
I did a series of colonics, started to clean up my diet and started to drink water, and I saw what a difference it made to my body and my Life. I wasn’t as angry and my back didn’t hurt as much. I started to laugh more and not be so uptight. My heart opened up. Colonics didn’t do all this, but it was the catalyst for things to start to shift and move. I wasn’t stuck and stagnant anymore. The Spam and Wonderbread of my youth was moving out of my system! LOL. I eventually finished massage school and got training at the clinic to do colon therapy because I saw what a difference it made in my Life and I wanted to share that with others.
My same gut instinct divinely led me to working at this wonderful space that would eventually manifest as the Tummy Temple of today. I’m the last of the original crew. Twelve years doing the work, nine of those have been here. I am still here because, well for one, I love Tim and Kristi and the integrity and vision that they have. We are in tune with one another. I am also here because I truly Love the work that I do. I get to come to a place where I can support individuals every day to step into their Power, to step into their Truth.
I had a client describe me as “unique.” He said that my hands felt strong, knowledgeable, confident, & deep while doing the massage. Then you add into the mix my quirky, down to earth & funny personality. The final piece was how I could turn on a dime from telling a funny story to delving easily into deeper emotional aspects and bringing in the spirituality & knowing of the Truth of who we really are, not the story we created & had been living most of our lives. We are more than our stories. We are more than our past experiences. I truly believe that we are Powerful beyond measure and that we can create and Manifest our dreams if we allow ourselves to. I believe that by helping individuals remember who they are…it helps to make the world a better place to Live and Be in.
That is the work that I am here to do. This is me and just a part of who I am. If you are ready and willing I would love to support you on your own Journey. Blessed Be.
