Techniques:
  • Visceral Manipulation: a powerful technique designed to address the imbalance in the abdominal organs by working on the viscera (the tissue surrounding the organs).  Used to treat abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, emotional holding in the abdomen, liver and gall bladder congestion, bloating, headaches, low back pain, sciatica, surgical adhesions and more.
Colon Hydrotherapy: utilized to treat any condition that involves the digestive system- depression, anxiety, psoriasis, eczema, acne, sinusitis, chronic yeast infections, repeated colds, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, constipation, arthritis, stress, chronic back pain, changes in bowel habits since pregnancy, etc.  This is a powerful detoxifying treatment.
  • Nutrition Coaching: what you eat profoundly affects the function of your body- energy levels, moods, motivation, sense of calm, ability to focus.  Each person is constitutionally diverse and may need different foods and eating habits based on the current state of the body.  Consider that how you eat can allow you to feel exceptional inside and give you a radiant glow on the outside.

About Lisa:

My passion for natural medicine began at age 16 when I discovered after drug treatments and extensive testing that the way I eat could dramatically change painful digestion, ulcers, and clear my acne.  Of course excited by this, I found the nutrition program at UNC-Chapel Hill and dove into the science of nutrition to understand more about how the body works in relation to what we eat.  I saw that we can be powerful in our own health by eating delicious whole foods and prevent uncomfortable conditions such as diabetes, depression, and other chronic illnesses. Alongside nutrition, I developed the skill in natural foods cooking through self-teaching and exploring all the amazing ingredients that were at hand while working in a natural foods co-op.  While living in Colorado, I enrolled in classes on holistic detoxification and there discovered naturopathic medicine.  Two visits with an ND found me lasting healing of menstrual problems.  The ability to heal long term conditions naturally presented itself and my passion shifted to offer to others more beyond nutrition- to include the mind, address everyone’s unique biochemistry, and unlock roadblocks that stand in the way of being our best selves.  Six months later, I was sitting in the classrooms of Bastyr University and on the 5-year program to becoming a naturopath.  My naturopathic education and parallel life journey stimulated healing for me from bulimia, periodic depression, and poor self-esteem. I followed my gut and have no doubt that this is the career for me- a career that is fun, allows for a balanced lifestyle, continually opens the opportunity for learning, and the best- it brings empowered natural health to everyone.

I believe we are the source of our divine happiness.  I love to serve as a guide; to empower you about your being; teach you how it works so you have the tools necessary to maintain your health.  Treating the gut- the center of digestion,  nervous function, and immunity- can powerfully heal the core of your vitality, creating space for abundant energy.  I endeavor to see each of you love your body, live your dreams and believe you can have that now.

I find joy in creating a flow of life. The current flow includes play with my beloved family, creating delicious food for my lover and friends, a schvitz in the Russian baths, dance, yoga, acrobalance, piano, running in nature, and continually daring myself to try new activities without fear.
